ICU | LIBERAL ARTS LAW

Shion, Japan

Hi! I'm Shion, currently a fourth year studying law at ICU with a 4-year scholarship. I grew up in Tokyo but went to an international school so I grew up studying primarily in English.
I'm hoping to find a job in the automotive industry. I think the best part about ICU is how Japanese and international students can get along without a lot of language or cultural barriers.

NUCB | GLOBAL BBA

Hasan, Libya

My name is Hasan, I was born and raised in Libya. I am currently studying Business Management at NUCB. I am a United World College Alumni and have attended UWC ISAK Japan with a full scholarship. I am interested in Filmmaking, and music as well as soccer and fitness. I absolutely enjoy Japan, especially Nagoya city, it is in my opinion one of the most diverse cities in Japan. My goal is to visit all prefectures in Japan by 2025.

Hi everyone! I’m Sam and I was born and raised in Hawaii. I am currently a junior double majoring in International Business Studies and Japanese Language Studies. Some things I like to do are reading, cooking, and exploring new areas of Tokyo. I look forward to meeting all of you and sharing why I love TUJ and living in Tokyo!

KYUSHU UNIVERSITY | CIVIL ENGINEERING

Nontouch, Thai

Hello! My name is Nontouch, but please call me Junior. I’m currently a 4th-year undergraduate student. I am in Geotechnical Laboratory. One thing I definitely enjoyed during my studies in Fukuoka is all the surrounding nature, which is quite difficult to enjoy back in Bangkok, Thailand. My hobby includes cooking and playing sports, however it has been mostly cooking due to COVID-19. See you all soon!

RITSUMEIKAN UNIVERSITY | GLOBAL STUDIES

Linh, Vietnam

One of the reasons why I enjoy four seasons in Kyoto is because of my hobby, photography. I think that there is no better place for photography lovers than Kyoto. Japan has given me many chances to experience exciting things such as: working part-time at a coffee shop, riding a shinkansen, driving from Kyoto to Gifu in a snowy day.
Studying in Japan is one of my biggest decisions that I have never regretted. If I had not come to Japan, I would not become mature, self-independent, and be able to explore such a beautiful country.

NAGOYA UNIVERSITY | JAPAN-IN-ASIA CULTURAL STUDIES

Wenxi, China

Hi people! My name is Xie Wenxi from China but I go by Astrid as well. I am currently studying Japan-in-Asia Cultural Studies in Nagoya university. It’s my third year in Japan and I really enjoy my university life here. Japan is a great place to study, both safety and cultural wise. Food is amazing and everything is convenient, would definitely recommend!

OSAKA UNIVERSITY | HUMAN SCIENCES

Katia, Uk/Japan

I was born and raised in the UK. Being half Japanese, I decided I wanted to pursue my undergraduate study in Japan to learn more about my roots. Although I’ve visited Japan many times before, I am always impressed by its rich traditional culture. As a result I joined my university’s Tea Ceremony club and in my spare time, I enjoy making wagashi!

ICLA, YAMANASHI GAKUIN | POLITICAL SCIENCE

Hallie, USA

Hello everyone! I'm Hallie, a 4th-year Political Science major from the U.S. and while I currently study in Japan I have also lived in South Korea and the United Kingdom. But in High School, I had studied Japanese so I knew it was the most likely place for me to end up in the long term!

LAKELAND UNIVERSITY JAPAN | BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION COMMUNICATIONS

Taiga, USA/Japan

Hi! My name is Taiga Ishikawa and I currently go to Lakeland University Japan (LUJ). I am enrolled in the 4 year program by studying Business Administration with an emphasis in Communications. I have been a student ambassador for one semester and now work part time at LUJ. One thing I love about the university is its vast and unique student body that consists of students all over the world.

RITSUMEIKAN ASIA PACIFIC | UNIVERSITY ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE

Risane, Bangladesh

Coming to APU has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Energized by the diverse group of people I am surrounded with, I have continuously engrossed myself in the wonderful opportunities available here, such as joining local exchanges, working as a Teaching Assistant, leading Student Organizations (circles), etc. I feel invigorated by engaging with different people with various ideas and perspectives to share, immersing myself in different cultures, and being involved in activities in general.
