ICU | EDUCATION & LANGUAGE EDUCATION

Sakurako | Japan

I was born in Japan and moved to South Korea when I was in grade 6. I actually came back to Japan in grade 11 in high school and I’ve lived in Japan ever since. I am currently a fourth-year student at ICU, studying education and language education. I am also working to be a qualified language acquisition teacher! I teach English to children and I also love to work out in my free time!

NUCB | GLOBAL BBA

Rob | Indonesia / Scotland

In my free time, I sample the local delicacies (but I've yet to try Unagi), however, I also work on building student communities as well as supporting myself financially. My favourite thing about Japan is you don't need a car to go anywhere and I love exploring small, unknown spots and making an unexpected friend!

HIROSHIMA UNIVERSITY | IGS

Utama | Indonesia

I love travelling and meeting new people. It is amazing to meet different kinds of people while perfecting my Japanese language skills in IGS. My field is Culture and Tourism. There are many opportunities at Hiroshima University, some of you will come to seek them for yourself! See you soon!

RITSUMEIKAN UNIVERSITY | CRPS

Sakshi | India

I am a Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) scholarship student majoring in Community and Regional Policy Studies. One thing that continues to amuse me about Japan is its interplay with modernity and traditions. When I am not studying at the university, I usually spend my time cooking or travelling around in nature.

I am a scholarship student and am currently working as a student ambassador while also completing a part-time internship. My favourite part about studying in Japan is getting to know people from so many places while experiencing amazing Japanese traditions such as Hanami under the sakura trees.

RITSUMEIKAN APU | BBA

Umar | Mozambique

Besides my enthusiasm for the socioeconomic sciences, I am passionate about Education and therefore, I have served as a Teaching Assistant here at APU. Japan is a unique place for individuals who ought to be out of their comfort zone and experience high personal development through sociocultural adaption.

DOSHISHA | LIBERAL ARTS

Nicole | Philippines

I made the decision to pursue my undergraduate degree in Japan after previously attending a sustainable development program in Okinawa on scholarship. I was amazed by the beauty and modernity of the Japanese lifestyle but also recognized that the fast-paced, hardworking environment was something that I wanted to be exposed to more.
